Welcome! Every parent at TPS is a member of the PA. This organization is essential to many activities and programs at TPS. There is room for all levels of involvement, from chairing a committee, to filling in for a few hours on a special project, to attending speakers and participating in conversations on topics relevant to parenting today. The PA holds monthly meetings and all parents are welcome to attend.
The 2012-1013 PA Executive Committee consists of two co-presidents as well as divisional vice presidents and a secretary. The Executive Committee oversees the various PA committees, class parents, and PA meetings. Committees such as faculty appreciation, service projects, Fathers' Club, photography, speakers, holiday decorating, etc. have parent chairpersons. Class parents are selected per grade to assist the classroom teachers with events and field trips and to foster community among the families in their class.
With many committees there is something for everyone, and any volunteer effort is greatly appreciated! If you would like to volunteer or have questions about the PA, please contact Kristen Heard.
