Extended Day and Discovery Programs

The goal of the Tuxedo Park School Extended Day Program is to provide families with opportunities for after school care and for children to engage in after school activities up until 6pm. The Extended Day Program includes our various Discovery Program offerings,  Late Group from 3-4pm, and Supervised Play from 4-6pm.

• Extended Day will run Monday through Thursday from 3-6 pm and Fridays from 3-5 pm.
• The Extended Day Program will be offered in six to eight week cycles.
• The sign-up sheet/permission slip lists all of the offerings available for each time slot. We recommend you make a copy of this after you fill it out so you have a copy of your child’s weekly schedule. 
• Late Group and Supervised Play are offered at a rate of $10/hour. Please note, Primary School students who attend Late Group for the purpose of taking a 4pm bus will automatically be signed up and will not be charged for late group.
• Discovery Programs are offered at a rate of $20/hour.
• The hourly rates include all materials and snacks.
• Parents may sign children up by the day and by the hour for the duration of the cycle.

If you register for Extended Day programs either before or after your child’s scheduled private tutoring or music lessons, please make a note of their lesson times on the sheet so we know when they will arrive or depart from Extended Day.

All children staying after school should be registered in advance, so we may plan staffing and resources for each cycle.
