This year, Tuxedo Park School shifted the annual Field Day to a Field Week. During a typical year, Field Day is a whole morning of high energy and friendly competition, in which our whole student body and their families are present. This year, however, the energy at TPS was contagious throughout the entire week.
Events were divided by division to ensure distancing and COVID protocols were followed. On the first day, the half-mile run took place, followed by the junior events, intermediate and senior events, and finally, the Betti-Feinberg relay race and banner reveal. Events included hurdles, 50 and 100-meter races, relays, long jump, and softball throw.
Our students made us proud with their perseverance, spirit, kindness towards one another, and the teamwork they exhibited. Although this year was abundantly different than past years, our students and their excitement for Field Day didn’t skip a beat. Moments like these are what TPS is all about, and regardless of what kind of year we are having, our students embrace our culture of team spirit!
Congratulations to the Green Team—the winners of this year’s Field Week and Green/Gold competition! Our students are now and forever Green & Gold!
