TPS students traveled from sea to space during school sponsored field trips this October.
On, Wednesday, October 23, 2nd, 3rd and 5th grade students sailed the Hudson on the Clearwater Sloop. Founded 50 years ago by Pete Seeger and friends, Clearwater’s strategy is to inspire, educate, and activate young people to become stewards of the environment by utilizing the greatest natural resource in the region – the Hudson River.
The entire TPS student body was taken on a 45-minute journey through the universe from the comfort and security of the Primary School Gymnasium, when the SkyDome visited the TPS campus. This portable, inflatable planetarium dazzled our budding astronomers as they were taken on a guided tour of the solar system.
