Why Pre-K through 9th?

Our focus is on these crucial years without the distractions of college admissions, varsity sports, and adolescent behaviors. All school resources are devoted exclusively to this age group, who may not receive the same attention in larger schools.

We don’t live in Tuxedo Park. Will we be welcome?

The vast majority of our families (75%) do not live in Tuxedo Park. We make sure that families from diverse racial, economic, ethnic, and religious backgrounds feel welcome in our school community. Diversity and inclusiveness are key values that we reinforce each day.

How are parents involved in school life?

Parents may have lunch with their children, attend assemblies, chaperone field trips, and stop by any morning for coffee and a muffin or bagel. Monthly parents meetings, open to all parents, organize a wide range of events and volunteer opportunities that accommodate the schedules of both working and non-working parents.  Our parent page highlights many of the volunteer opportunities and events at TPS.

What about transportation?

Students who live within 15 miles of the campus receive free busing from their district.

Tuxedo Park School provides fee-based bus transportation from Bergen County, New Jersey (two routes) and from Newburgh, Cornwall, Middletown, Goshen, Chester, and Warwick in New York.  We work with reputable area bus companies whose drivers prioritize the safety and well-being of our children.  If you do not see your town listed here, please contact the admissions office for additional information.

Who thrives at TPS?

Motivated students from families who share our high academic goals and community-minded values find success. Parents are essential partners as we work together to expand students' minds, hone their skills, and broaden their understanding of the world around them.

Where do TPS graduates go to high school?

We have sent students to over 50 different secondary schools in the past five years. They include some of the most highly competitive private boarding and day schools as well as a broad selection of excellent public and parochial schools.
