Freshman Year

The 9th-Grade year at TPS affords students the opportunity to be leaders of the school where otherwise, they would be the youngest. 

Being leaders as Freshmen results in confident, well-spoken, driven teenagers. 

Our Freshmen are treated as the young adults they are. Their Honors level courses demand more, and they step up to the plate knowing they are learning in a nurturing environment.  Freshmen start the year with their own overnight camping and kayaking trip. They have their own homeroom and lounge where they enjoy their special snacks, study comfortably during built-in study halls, or just socialize with one another during cold recess days. In addition to a winter ski trip with Upper School, an international trip during Spring Break is linked to their history studies.
