Giving

There are a variety of ways to give at Tuxedo Park School. Our dedicated community gives their time, their money, and their ideas.

Parents, grandparents, alumni, students, board members, current and former, and friends participate generously in the Annual Fund and other campaigns, attend or volunteer for our fundraising events, and help out in various ways at TPS. There are opportunities for everyone to be involved in our community.

Since our founding in 1900, active participation by our families has been instrumental in allowing us to provide exceptional programs to exceptional students!

The Annual Fund

The TPS Annual Fund is the school's largest fundraising effort. Funds raised during this annual appeal accomplish two primary goals. First, these gifts provide support for the current year’s operating budget, allowing us to sustain and update curricula, offer competitive salaries to our talented faculty and staff, and maintain our historic 19th Century campus for 21st century learning. Secondly, the TPS Fund allows us to explore new possibilities for enriching our community, including new programming, added technology, and professional development. These gifts help bridge the gap between tuition and the full cost of a Tuxedo Park School education. We kick off the Annual Fund with our Parent-Faculty Dinner in October.

Every gift makes a difference – thank you for your support!

Annual Event: The TPS Benefit

Tuxedo Park School’s benefit auction has the dual purpose of getting the school community together for a fun night out with friends, while raising money to help meet the school’s operating budget.

Each year, the benefit committee works tirelessly to put on a great party and raise much-needed funds for the school through ticket sales, journal ads, sponsorships, and proceeds from the silent and live auction. A special portion of the event, known as Raise Your Paddle elicits funds for a specific project or program. Examples of past projects are a climbing wall, state-of-the-art science lab, main foyer beautification, art room renovation, paving the driveway, and the Library restoration and book collections. You won't want to miss this beautiful event!

Did you know?

TPS tuition covers about 80% percent of the cost of educating students. The school relies on generous gifts to the Annual Fund to close the gap between tuition income and the full cost of a Tuxedo Park School education. Every family is asked to support the Annual Fund, and over 90 percent of TPS’ current families contribute every year. Contributions range from $25, to gifts of $25,000- $100,000. Additional support comes from the extended Tuxedo Park School community: alumni, parents of alumni, grandparents, friends, and faculty.

Ways to Give

Why I Give

Since joining TPS in 2019, we have been amazed by the diverse, creative and loving environment that the school provides to our children. Our goal in consistently giving is to help enhance the breadth and depth of the academic and co-curricular programming at TPS, to support the recruitment and retention of the school's passionate and dedicated faculty and to help ensure a socioeconomically diverse student body. Ultimately, we give back to TPS in gratitude for everything the teachers and staff do to create engaged critical thinkers who will grow into kind, fair and responsible young citizens of the world.

- Allison Taylor-Jennings, Parent

“I give because, as an alumna, I know the impact of a Tuxedo Park School education – and I also know that independent schools like TPS rely on annual giving to continue to deliver the best possible program to all students. I want to do my part in helping a new generation of children benefit from the same exceptional experiences that I did.”

- Liz Dunn, Alumna '98 and Board Member
